On August 3, 2022 Moms for Liberty received a letter from Dr. Cade Brumley, Louisiana State Superintendent of Education. 

The letter reads:

"I appreciate the advocacy your organization provides and your appreciation for education as a local enterprise; one where those closest to the children are best suited to make the best decisions. Children belong to their parents, not the government. Further, the parent is the child’s first – and foremost – teacher."

Moms for Liberty is working to unify, educate and empower parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government.  They have grown to over 200 chapters in 40 states in just 19 months.  As the movement continues to gain momentum it show great promise for our future that state ed leaders are publicly recognizing the fundamental rights of parents to direct the up brining, education and medical care of their children.
