About Us

Moms for Liberty Union County launched in April of 2021 and have quite literally hit the ground running.  M4L-UC was fortunate to partner with Free UCPS from the very beginning and have been working together ever since.  A lot of the success that this chapter has experienced is due to establishing relationships in the community and working in tandem with other organizations for the common goal of fighting for the children in our community to be free.  Free from mandates, free from indoctrination, free from discrimination, and free from sexual abuse through over-sexualized teaching materials and books.  We have fought hard and have won many battles but are aware that this is a marathon and not a sprint.  Actually, this is a marathon without a finish line as we have to stay vigilant for forever and always.  We will fight until our time is done and then we will pass the baton to the next generation...for it will be their time to run.

Schools

Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is a wonderful school district who consistently put what is best for the students first.  They were the largest school district to go back to in-person instruction in the fall of 2020 when most other schools were going to virtual only.  UCPS knew that children do better both academically and psychologically when they are in-person.  During the pandemic, UCPS managed to lead the way in getting the students safetly back in school with the least restrictive environment.  They accomplished that while achieving the rank of #1 in the state for student outcomes with the least amount in funding.  UCPS should be a case study on how to efficiently, effectively, and excellently run a school district.

Charters

Union county is fortunate to have a lot of good options for educating children.  In addition to a great public school district, union county has a lot of great charter schools.  Given that these charter schools operate independently from UCPS and independently from each other, it was challenging to keep up with all the needs at each individual charter.  Thankfully, a charter school parent came up with the idea of creating charter school branch of M4L-UC. This branch will help make sure that parents of charter school students will get the support they need to protect and defend their parental rights.
