Parents demand a seat at the table as they defend their parental rights in education.
Parental rights group, Moms for Liberty, announces their nationwide launch. The fast-growing organization has launched 5 chapters since forming in January and is currently fielding chapter requests in over 15 states.
Founded by former school board members, Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, the group unifies parents, grandparents, educators and community members to exercise their voices in standing up for parental rights and defending liberty in local government.
“We’re growing so quickly and to be honest, I am not surprised. Moms will do anything for their children. We will be the ones who carry the torch of liberty forward. Our children are counting on us and we will not let them down,” said Justice.
Justice and Descovich have witnessed firsthand the gaping disconnect that exists between families and ‘the system.’ Parents often feel they are up against a machine and are left feeling unheard and frustrated. Together they are leading the effort to close that gap and effect lasting change.
“The balance of power in education has dramatically shifted away from parents and communities to unions and bureaucrats. Moms for Liberty is fighting to restore the role of primary decision maker for children back to parents by helping them organize and amplify their voices,” Descovich said.
Moms for Liberty will hold leaders accountable, spread an understanding of the limited role of government, teach the principles of liberty, stand against government intimidation tactics, engage elected officials on key issues impacting families and work to promote liberty-minded individuals to serve in elected positions.
Moms for Liberty will be live streaming from their Facebook page www.facebook.com/Moms4Liberty to answer any questions on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 12 noon EST.
